James Creek Road band James Creek Road

After taking several years off the music trail to raise families and with lots of prodding from friends and former fans, the boys decided it was time to put a band back together. It was time to get back to their original roots, back to the music they love... Bluegrass. So they took the name of an old country road down in Mississippi and formed James Creek Road. From the response they've recieved, it appears their fans are glad they're back too...

Members of James Creek Road include...

Larry Grimes... Bruce Gosse... Larry Booth... Charlie Ginn... Karen Ginn... Sarah Singleton

BAND NEWS... JCR went back down to Nashville and cut their new all Gospel CD, "God Lives Here"... The new CD features several new original songs as well as some old Bluegrass standards.

Once again, good friends Dave Demay and Fred Duggin of SongCity Studios did a great job in the studio. With their help, the band put out a CD that they're very excited about. Click on the cover to go to the clips.

Also, don't forget to give a listen to clips from JCR's first self titled CD..."James Creek Road", also recorded at SongCity Studios.

Here's a few of the nice comments from BLUEGRASS UNLIMITED'S review of "God Lives Here"... "Their latest recording is an all-gospel project with many pleasant surprises... Outstanding vocal harmonies prevail throughout...The tunes are also enhanced by the presence of fiddler Jim VanCleve... "God Lives Here" is bluegrass gospel music at its finest and an important milestone for James Creek Road..."

JCR would like to send a special thanks to Jim VanCleve of Mountain Heart for coming in and laying down the fiddle tracks for us. Jim is one of the premier fiddle players in the entire music industry. If you've never heard Jim and Mountain Heart, make sure you get to one of their shows, you won't be disappointed. They are outstanding!

Also make sure to pick up Jim's debut solo release... No Apologies... it's getting rave reviews.

The band would also like to acknowledge and thank Rural Rhythm label for Jim's appearance.
